Jerusalem is the largest and most important tourist city in Israel, attracting millions of tourists from Israel and abroad every year. These tourists come to Jerusalem, and the Old City in particular, to experience its religious sanctity and its historical significance in the city's diverse sites.

Our city is suburban. Most people live in apartments, high rise buildings, and one family homes. The average family has 3 or 4 children. When young people marry, they usually buy or rent their own place.

Transportation

Most people go to work by: public transportation, cars, bikes, and even walking.
Most students go to school by: buses, cars, bikes, and walking.
What modes of transportation do families own? Most people have cars.

Weather

  • On average, the warmest month is July.
  • On average, the coolest month is January.
  • The maximum average precipitation occurs in January. Normally there is less humidity than in central area. The evenings are cooler and pleasant.

The topography of my area. There are beautiful hills and mountains with grassland in Jerusalem. The view is spectacular.

We also speak:English and Arabic. There are also many new immigrants from many countries all over the world so you can also hear Russian , French and more.

Jerusalem is the city of all religions, Jews, Christians and Moslems.

Government

We have a Knesset Israeli Parliament in Jerusalem the capital of Israel. The prime minister is Benjamin Netanyahu and the President of Israel is Shimon Peres. The Knesset members make the laws in the parliament.
